The table has all the components laid out on it for the tasks the teams are going to be doing in their contests. The tasks are related to medical activities, like repairing a broken bone or drawing blood for a blood test. The robot must be programmed to maneuver around on the table top, and then to perform tasks at different locations or work stations.
The coaches (Coach Lenora and Coach Jeff) do not directly help the team members to do any tasks, including building the robots and programming them. Coaches only provide guidance, the team members pretty much do everything themselves. The afternoon team built their robot from instructions in the kit, with no help from the coaches. Yea, team!
